Vacancies for Management Committee Members
Nuneaton Women's Multicultural Resource Centre (NWMRC) is a voluntary community organisation and a registered charity, based in Nuneaton & Bedworth. The vision of NWMRC is a Centre where women from different cultural backgrounds can come together, learn together, to benefit themselves, their families and the wider community. Our mission is to support and empower women, by building their self-confidence, self-esteem and developing their skills, thereby, helping them to make informed choices.
The Management Committee (MC), a team of volunteers is responsible for overseeing the running and the strategic development of the centre. The services are run and managed by part time staff and volunteers.
NWMRC is inviting applications from women to join the Management Committee. The role of the MC members is to provide strategic directions and advice on the development of the organisation.
Requirements:
Ideally, applicants should live or work in the Nuneaton & Bedworth area, with at least 3 hours per week to spare, to represent the organisation at important partners’ meetings/forums and to assist with the development of future projects/fundraising etc, (plus, 2 hours in the evening, to attend bi-monthly MC meetings)
Good partnership working, communicating, influencing and negotiating skills
