Nuneaton Women's Resource Centre
Office 1, The Newtown Centre, Newtown Road, Nuneaton, CV11 4HG
Tuesday - Thursday 9.30am - 2.30pm

Who We Are

The Centre was established in 2001. It was founded by a dedicated group of women from Nuneaton & Bedworth (Sinder Mahil, Surinder Chaggar and Zebeda Kapasi). It was set up as a UK Online Centre, funded by NOF and DfES West Midlands.

The Centre was opened to the public in October 2002. It was registered as a Company Limited by Guarantee on 8th January 2002 and became a registered charity on 19th April 2005.

Nuneaton Women's Multicultural Resource Centre was developed in consultation with local communities to address the educational, training, employment, social and cultural needs of primarily Black and Minority Ethnic women. However, the centre is open to all local women in the area. It is envisaged that this will promote a better understanding of the diversity of cultures and experiences amongst black and minority ethnic women as well as the wider community.

It was set up as an ICT UK online centre, funded by UK online and NOF, to facilitate the development and delivery of first steps ICT training and employment programmes, including enterprise development, which are accessible to the target group.

We are now based in the lively Newtown Centre in Nuneaton Town, you can pop in and see us anytime between Tuesday - Thursday 9.30-2.30.
